Talkative and very curious, a little clumsy and bumbler, Bat Pat is indeed a very special bat! And there couldn't be a better adventure companion for the Silver kids, nor a bat more knowledgeable about supernatural creatures... even though he can sometimes mistake a mummy for a werewolf, or an elf for a gnome! Not to mention what Bat Pat goes through when Natty is around: hearing her wing-beat is enough for him to get dizzy and loose his sense of direction! 
However, when night time falls, there is no stopping him: while daylight makes him sleepy, the darkness is his natural habitat, and Bat Pat can find his way around any kind of place!
